Water Suply in Nuku'alofa is inadequate in amount mainly due to leakage in the old distribution pipeline that were installed over 30 years ago. Water pressure is reported to be low in Houmakelikao and Sopu where the distance from the distribution reservoir is far and the diameter of pipeline is small.
