A bill entitled An act to provide for the protection, improvement and conservation of the environment of the Republic of Kiribati and for Connected purposes.

In this act, unless the context otherwise requires approval includes the granting of any consent, license or permit required under this Actor any other adminstrative policy directive concerning any development conservation includes protection, maintenance and preservation development means any enterprise or undertaking for industrial or commercial purposes which includes the erection of a building of structures, the carrying out of work, in, on over or under land or sea, the use of land, building structures or work and the subdivision of land.
