SPREP/UNESCO Pein Workshop, Suva Fiji : Workshop on Media & Environment

A video of the SPREP/UNESCO workshop on Media and the Environment held in Suva, Fiji. Addresses waste disposal problem facing Fiji, in particular, the accumulating effect of plastic waste. A survey was carried out as to the behaviour of people regarding plastics. According to Dr. Suresh Raj of SPREP, plastic is in fact the fastest growing non-biodegradable waste on the island. A possible solution offered is that plastics be re-used to decrease plastic production.
