The Eleventh Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Waigani Convention (COP-11) held virtually in September in 2021, established a Working Group comprising representatives from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Samoa to undertake work to implement Decision 6.2 on adopting the Basel Convention Plastic Waste Amendments of 2019 to the Waigani Convention.
